Where shall the application be submitted and what documents shall be enclosed?

The application for housing loan subsidisation shall be submitted in the chosen loan institution or bank in which the housing loan is taken, and with which the APN has concluded an agreement on programme implementation. The list of banks participating in the programme is published by APN on their website.

The application for subsidisation of a housing loan for the purchase of an apartment or house shall contain the name, family name, place of residence and personal identification number of the loan beneficiary, as well as the loan amount that is applied for and its repayment period. In addition to the documents required by the chosen loan institution, the loan beneficiary shall enclose the following to the subsidisation application:
 
  • copy of identity card
  • a preliminary purchase contract or purchase contract for the apartment or house for the purchase of which the loan is requested
  • copy of the land register excerpt
  • copy of the act permitting the use of the building in which the apartment to be purchased is located, or copy of the act permitting the use of the house intended to be purchased
  • certificate of the Croatian Public Health Institute on the person’s entry in the Croatian register of persons with disability
  • statement certified by notary public that the person is not owner of an apartment or house in such conditions of usability that there are basic sanitary and technical living conditions, or that the person is owner of only one apartment or house in such conditions of usability that provide basic sanitary and technical living conditions and which the person is selling to buy a larger apartment or house for its own housing needs, and
  • statement by spouse or common law spouse, life partner or informal life partner, certified by notary public, that the person is not owner of any other apartment or house in such conditions of usability that provide basic sanitary and technical living conditions, or that the person is owner of only one apartment or house in such conditions of usability that provide basic sanitary and technical living conditions and which the person is selling to buy a larger apartment or house.

The application for subsidisation of a housing loan for the construction of a house shall contain the name, family name, place of residence and personal identification number of the loan beneficiary, and the loan amount that is applied for and its repayment period. In addition to the documents required by the chosen loan institution, the loan beneficiary shall enclose the following to the subsidisation application:
 
  • copy of identity card
  • copy of the land register excerpt
  • copy of the act permitting building
  • copy of the works cost estimate prepared based on the main or detailed design, with resulting amount of the building costs
  • certificate of the Croatian Public Health Institute on the person’s entry in the Croatian register of persons with disability
  • statement certified by notary public that the person is not owner of an apartment or house in such conditions of usability that provide basic sanitary and technical living conditions, or that the person is owner of only one apartment or house in such conditions of usability that provide basic sanitary and technical living conditions and which the person is selling to build a larger house for its own housing needs and
  • statement by spouse or common law spouse, life partner or informal life partner, certified by notary public that the person is not owner of an apartment or house in such conditions of usability that provide basic sanitary and technical living conditions, or that the person is owner of only one apartment or house in such conditions of usability that provide basic sanitary and technical living conditions and which the person is selling to build a larger house.
The decision on granting loan subsidisation is passed by the Agency for Transactions and Mediation in Immovable Properties upon having inspected the decision and documents forwarded by the chosen loan institution and established that the requirements prescribed by law have been fulfilled.
