​Expert advisory council for post-quake reconstruction established

(Hina) - The government on Thursday established an expert advisory council that will conduct consulting services and other tasks concerning the implementation of the Law on the Reconstruction of buildings damaged by the earthquake in the City of Zagreb, Krapina-Zagorje and Zagreb counties. The council will ensure the participation of professionals in implementing the law and in that way, contribute to its proper and successful implementation, said Minister Horvat.

The law on reconstruction, which was adopted in parliament on 11 September, regulates the establishment of the expert advisory council.

The council will consist of a chair, two deputies and 20 members and 20 deputies and they will all be appointed by the government.

Minister for Physical Planning and Construction and State Assets Darko Horvat, will chair the council, while his deputies are Tomislav Pokaz from the Prime Minster's cabinet and Olivera Majic from Zagreb City authorities.
